Objective of MONOSTAR is to sample 90 sites across the Northern Hemisphere. Many of these sites have been sampled in the past showing strong temperature signals. These chronologies will now be updated to include the last decades as they often end in the 1980s to early 2000s and thus miss information on warming in the last several decades. If you click on the map below you can learn more about the sites that we have sampled since the beginning of the project. For each site there is some information included when you hover over the respective dot.
